This policy explains what information Lux Markets collects, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.
01Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Lux Markets LLC (“Lux Markets,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information about you when you visit our website, create an account, or book and run markets through our platform (collectively, the “Site”). By using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Lux Markets is an e-commerce platform that helps small businesses and brands discover, book, and schedule booths at local pop-up markets, including markets hosted inside apartment buildings. This policy applies to information we handle in connection with those services.
02Information we collect
Information you provide directly. When you create an account, book a market, contact support, or otherwise use the Site, you may provide information such as your name, business name, email address, phone number, billing details, and the content of your communications with us.
Booking and transaction information. We collect details about the markets you browse, the booths you reserve, your subscription, and your booking history so that we can provide and improve the service.
Payment information. Payments are handled by third-party payment processors. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers; the payment processor handles that information under its own terms and privacy practices.
Information collected automatically. When you use the Site, we and our analytics providers may automatically collect technical information such as your device type, browser, IP address, pages viewed, referring pages, and general usage patterns. Some of this information is collected using cookies and similar technologies (see “Cookies and analytics” below).
03How we use your information
We use the information we collect to create and manage your account; process bookings, subscriptions, and payments; provide customer support and respond to your inquiries; operate, maintain, and improve the Site and our services; personalize your experience and recommend relevant markets; communicate with you about your account, transactions, and updates; detect, prevent, and address fraud, security issues, and misuse; and comply with our legal obligations.
06Your choices and rights
You can review and update your account information at any time by signing in or by contacting us at support@luxmarkets.org. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in those messages; we will still send transactional messages related to your account and bookings.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to request that we correct or delete it, to opt out of certain processing, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To make a request, contact us at support@luxmarkets.org, and we will respond as required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request.
07Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, and afterward only as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize it.
08Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.
09Children’s privacy
The Site is not directed to children, and Lux Markets does not knowingly collect personal information from persons under the age of thirteen. If you are under 18, you may use the Site only with the involvement and permission of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
